“这气味太难闻了。人们再也无法忍受尸体散发出的味道,”CNN说,埃斯帕纳的邻居格伦达·拉雷亚·维拉(Glenda Larrea Vera)在同一段视频中戴着口罩,站在在街对面这样抱怨。

CNN注意到,另据厄瓜多尔相关部门当地时间3日发布的数据,该国145例死亡病例中有102例发生在上述瓜亚基尔市所在的瓜亚斯省。

CNN说,由于当地医院已超负荷运转,一些患者在等待治疗的过程中不幸去世。一名瓜亚基尔市的妇女就是这样死在了医院的轮椅上,当时她正在急诊室等待救治。据一位不愿透露姓名的医院消息人士称,当时医院没有床位,这名妇女的遗体被放在外面近四小时后才被运走。此外,她的死因目前也还没有被查明。
